Man i'm kinda new to the Pokemon series but it's still hit hard to see how people thinks about ash's goodbye,i know pokemon but i never watched it or played it and i just started completely watching it on my local tv, i'm started watching it from Pokemon Journeys:The Series,and now continue to watch it myself watching Pokemon Horizon,so i don't think i'm gonna watch the other pokemon series,i would love to play any game of pokemon but my childhood is different so i just have to until wait i made money myself Edit: i sucked at English so,sorry 😅

These 2 at the beginning didn’t know what they were doing but now at the end it can make a grown man cry. It is so beautiful to see that they finally achieved there dream of being a Pokémon master. I recently wanted to see how the new anime was... I was shocked to see that Pokemon tv was not on the app store...

XY and XYZ wasn't fake and anything before that and were the best 2 out of 5 seasons of pokemon ever and sun and moon and after was trash they made him a kid again so mad after they did that and made Ash forget all his original homies

Even tho a year past... I still cry when i hear this news ash always gave me joy while watching pokemon, the new series is pure shit!

They never have to touch ash again. However, if they do I hope it's like the 12 episode series they did to say goodbye to the traditional Ash anime, or only in the form of movies. I though I Choose You was great, but generally speaking the movies have been lackluster for the past 15 years, at least doing his character right on the big screen one more time does seem like a necessity. I DO like Horizons quite a bit. Idk if they're doing a floating timeline but I hope not, and I love the fact that battles just aren't treated like they have been traditionally in the anime. The Volt Tacklers actually take threats seriously and outside of the two grunts most of the threats feel more real. They've made Liko and Roy weak links that require protecting instead of constantly making them a brute force to be reckoned with. The escapes they're responsible for are accidents, and I would be worried about making Liko a Mary Sue if it was something more serious than a kids TV show.

This is why Ash not aging is messing with his personality, obviously the anime is focused on kids, but for older viewers this will confused them. Ash has become one of the strongest trainer and he has been through a long journey, so he already have some improvements in the XY anime. Character design change is fine by me, but don't mess up with his personality.

Fun fact: in this episode Ash's Mom was standing beside Ash in his bed in the same pose Dawn was standing beside him in his bed in DP 191. This is not the first time Delia repeated Dawn's behaviour - Fun fact 2: Delia was watching his son sleeping in one of the earlier episodes (I assume it was JN 030) in the same manner Dawn was watching him sleeping in DP 191. Ridiculously enough, Ash repeated Johanna's phrase "That's when I worry the most!" on at least 2 occasions (DP 046 and DP 191). While amour and poke shine in your hearts, pearl has that subtle plotting by the creators of the anime. :)
